What is ‘The alchemy’ session?
The Alchemy Session is a cinematic, deeply personal portrait experience created for men who are ready to explore the most powerful, most authentic expression of themselves they have ever dared to inhabit.
This is not a standard photo shoot. There are no forced smiles, no awkward poses, no results that look like everyone else’s. This is the creation of something cinematic and entirely yours. Images that reflect not who you perform for the world, but who you actually are.
Together we will explore the alter ego, the archetype, the version of you that lives beneath the surface. The warrior. The king. The ancient one. The man who has walked through fire and carries the knowledge of it in his body. We will build your vision through costuming, styling, props and the creation of a space in which you can fully inhabit that truth.
The result is not just a photograph. It is evidence. Evidence of who you are, who you have survived, and who you are becoming.

The experience
Every Alchemy Session is designed from the very first moment to feel intentional, unhurried, and entirely yours.
Informed by somatic practice, every session is held with a deep understanding of how the body carries experience, and how, with the right guidance, it remembers its own strength. This is not something you will find in any other photography studio. It is the thread that transforms a portrait session into something far more profound – a genuine experience of coming home to yourself. Most people have never imagined that a portrait session could offer this. That is exactly what makes ‘The Alchemy’ session unlike anything else.

Your Vision Questionnaire
Before we meet, I will send you a carefully crafted questionnaire. An invitation to begin exploring the vision of who you would love to see looking back at you. What archetype, what energy, what version of yourself has been waiting for a stage? There are no wrong answers. Only the truth of what stirs when you dare to imagine it.
Your Consultation
From your answers, we connect for a one hour consultation, just the two of us. We go deeper into your vision, shape the concept, and begin building what we are about to create together. By the time you arrive, we already know who we are bringing to life.
Creating the Space
When you arrive at my home studio on the Sunshine Coast, we slow down and build the world of your session together. Costuming, props, atmosphere – every element chosen with intention, every detail in service of bringing him to life.
Styling (optional extra)
As a trained hair and makeup artist, I will prepare you for your session. For the masculine, this might mean body paint, textural styling, or simply ensuring you look and feel exactly how your character demands. You are in skilled and deeply respectful hands.
The Session
Your session is up to four hours. I work alongside you — reading the room, watching for the moments when something real crosses your face, when your body remembers its own power, when he begins to fully emerge. Those are the moments I photograph.
Your Portraits
From your session, you will receive four professionally edited, high resolution digital portraits. Images that are cinematic, powerful, and entirely yours.

The camera will not take from you. It will reflect you – exactly as you are, exactly as you have survived, exactly as you are becoming.
Who is holding the space?
I am Renée. I am a Visual Arts graduate, a photographer and graphic designer of over fifteen years, a trained hair and makeup artist and a woman who understands, deeply and personally, what it means to lose yourself and find your way back.
The images on this page are of my partner – a man who stepped into The Alchemy Session and created something that moved him in ways he never anticipated. A man who discovered, in front of the lens, a version of himself he had always known was there but had never seen reflected back so completely.
That is what this work is for. For every man who carries more than the world gets to see.
